Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy Trainee Application Deployment Engineer to join our technical operations team. In this role, you will assist in deploying, configuring, and supporting web and enterprise applications across client environments. You will work closely with senior engineers, product development, and client support teams to ensure smooth application rollouts, system integrations, and timely issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Deployment: Assist in deploying software builds, web applications, and system updates to cloud, hosted (cPanel/cPanel-like), and client environments.

  • Configuration & Integration: Help set up environment variables, database connections, web webhooks, and third-party API/widget integrations (e.g., job portals, CRMs, ATS).

  • Troubleshooting & Support: Investigate and diagnose application deployment failures, environment configuration issues, and client-reported technical bugs.

  • Process Automation: Assist in scripting and automating routine deployment procedures and system health checks.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation on deployment steps, environment configurations, and release notes.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with QA, Customer Success, and DevOps teams to streamline the release pipeline and ensure seamless handovers.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Basic understanding of web servers, web hosting (cPanel, IIS, Apache/Nginx), and domain settings.

    • Familiarity with HTML/JS code snippets, API integrations, and web services.

    • Foundational knowledge of databases (SQL/MySQL) and basic querying.

    • Familiarity with Linux/Windows server operating systems.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication skills for technical troubleshooting and team updates.

    • Eager to learn modern DevOps practices, deployment tools, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub).

  • Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

  • Exposure to SaaS platform configurations, CRM integrations (HubSpot, Totango), or ATS platforms (CEIPAL).
